Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel-Nabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University (ERU) in Cairo, announced that the University\u2019s Board of Trustees, chaired by Dr. Mohamed Kamal Mustafa, has issued a resolution appointing Dr. Safia Taha Mahmoud El-Kabbani\u2014Professor of Mural Painting and former Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Helwan University\u2014as the University President\u2019s Advisor for Arts.\n\nHe pointed out that this step coincides with the inauguration of the Faculties of Fine Arts and Applied Arts at the university. The aim is to establish and consolidate a unique artistic environment within the university, building on the academic expertise and physical facilities of both faculties. This initiative also seeks to attract all university students to join this environment to develop their hobbies and enhance their artistic sense, leading to positive impacts on their personality and behavior. Furthermore, this will contribute to expanding the university's scientific and cultural influence, both within the campus and the surrounding community, to include the field of the arts.<\/p>\n

The President of the Egyptian Russian University (ERU) in Cairo pointed out that the university offers diverse and multiple programs in the fields of arts through the Faculties of Fine Arts and Applied Arts. These include: Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture and Mosaic, Photography and Video, Filmmaking, Graphic Design, Crafts, Fashion Design, Glass, and Interior Design. This makes the Egyptian Russian University a destination for students wishing to study all forms of visual and applied arts, enabling them to become qualified human cadres capable of dealing with future changes and keeping pace with modern developments and challenges in the labor market.<\/p>\n
It is worth noting that Dr. Safia El-Kabbani, Professor of Mural Painting and former Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Helwan University, obtained her Bachelor\u2019s degree in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts in 1988. She earned her Master\u2019s degree in Fine Arts (Painting - Mural Division) in 1993, with a thesis titled: \"Ancient Egyptian Murals and Utilizing Their Symbols in Modern Egyptian Murals.\" In 1996, she received her Doctorate from the Faculty of Fine Arts (Painting Department - Mural Division) at Helwan University, with a dissertation titled: \"Preserving Mural Painting Through Modern Painting Techniques.\"<\/p>\n

It is noted that Dr. Safia El-Kabbani served as a Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Minia University, in 1993, and as an Assistant Lecturer at the same faculty in the same year. She then became a Lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University, in 1997, and was promoted to Associate Professor in the Painting Department (Mural Division) at Helwan University in 2002. In 2007, she attained the rank of Professor of Mural Painting in the Painting Department at Helwan University. Her leadership roles included serving as Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development (2009\u20132015), Acting Head of the Painting Department (2013), and Acting Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts from April to October 2015, before being appointed Dean of the Faculty (2015\u20132018). Since 2020, she has served as the General Head of the Fine Artists Syndicate.<\/p>\n

It is worth noting that Dr. Safia El-Kabbani has extensive experience in the field of Quality Assurance and Qualification for Accreditation, including:<\/p>\n
