Dr. Safia El-Kabbani, Head of the Syndicate of Fine Artists and member of the Higher Committee for the 15th Luxor International Painting Forum, which concluded its activities yesterday evening, Thursday, stated that the new edition of this event—held under the auspices of the Cultural Development Fund—was effective and successful in several aspects.
Dr. El-Kabbani added to "Ahram Gate" that the latest edition of this international event featured new blood, such as Dr. Asmaa El-Nawawy as the Commissaire. She managed it with great professionalism, the impact of which was evident in the forum’s fruitful output through artworks that varied in visions, trends, and techniques. These works documented the civilization of Luxor with a deep awareness by artists who were influenced by the place and its diverse perspectives.
She continued: "I also believe that the diversity among the participating artists—whether foreign, Arab, or Egyptian—as well as the youth participating in the workshop, and the integration of the experienced generation with the youth, provided a great benefit to both sides. Furthermore, supporting the youth of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Luxor played a highly significant role."
It is worth noting that the latest edition of the forum consisted of senior fine artists, with the membership of: Dr. Asmaa El-Nawawy, Professor at the Faculty of Design and Arts, British University (Forum Commissaire); Dr. Fatima Abdel Rahman, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University; Dr. Emad Abou Zeid, Professor at the Faculty of Art Education, Helwan University; Dr. Adel Tharwat, Professor at the Faculty of Art Education, Helwan University; Dr. Walid Qanoush, Head of the Fine Arts Sector; Dr. Saleh Abdel Moaty, Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Luxor University; Dr. Safia El-Kabbani, Head of the Syndicate of Fine Artists; and Counselor Ahmed Barakat.
